This is the process of advancing a system from physical completion to an operating condition and needs to be adequately planned for during the design stage of the project. It is essential to ensuring that the AHU and ventilation system can operate properly and deliver the air quality the site requires.
The complete installation will be examined, from the air intake to the extract discharge to assess its fitness for purpose. This will establish if your new system is fit for purpose, with only routine maintenance required for it to remain functional for its lifespan. This process will ensure it meets all the needs established at the design stage.
We will conduct a thorough factory acceptance test (FAT) once your equipment is manufactured that will verify to you and to us that that your new AHU is compliant with all design specifications including VDI6022. During your test, ECE UK will check that everything meets your specifications, and the components are installed according to our initial designs, and that they are the correct machinery. We’ll also conduct a point-to-point test from the motor isolator to the external terminal box to the motor terminal. This will allow us to check if individual trip points are operating according to the component requirements under full load current. We will even provide training on how to remove the door guard and change the motor and filters so that basic maintenance can be safely undertaken by your site management team. We will complete and save the relevant documentation to verify that these tests have been completed separately. You’ll be able to access these at any time through our Client Portal.
